The University of Greenwich is a major modern UK university. Its three campuses extend from Maritime Greenwich to Medway, serving South East London, Kent Thames-side and West Kent. The Kings Hill Institute in West Malling, Kent is a centre for Continuing Professional Development. The University is the accountable body for the Medway Enterprise Hub.

Medway is made up of the towns of Strood, Rochester, Chatham, Gillingham and Rainham and more rural areas, including the Hoo Peninsula. It is a modern place with green spaces and superb quality of life, close to breathtaking countryside. Medway has a highly skilled workforce and a young and culturally diverse population.

Exciting developments are taking place at Medway. In spring 2000 the University of Kent opened the University of Kent at Medway, a partnership with Mid-Kent College. In September 2005 this new branch of the University moved to a campus shared with the University of Greenwich, Mid-Kent College and Canterbury Christ Church University at Pembroke, adjacent to Chatham's Historic Dockyard.
